Our exclusive tweed poncho is completely our own creation and has been hand cut and hand tailored in England from the finest British tweed.
It is fully reversible, cleverly allowing it to be worn either side - for two different looks.
Add to this that we produce this piece in tiny numbers and you have something very special indeed.
Two very special British tweeds have been selected:
One Side- a Harris tweed hand woven in the beautiful Outer Hebridean islands just off mainland Scotland, in a plain deep blue, herringbone weave in 100% pure wool.
The Other Side - our navy/charcoal House tweed, that we have designed and have exclusively woven for us in a British mill in 100% pure wool. This tweed literally cannot be obtained from anywhere else in the world. The background colour is a perfect 50/50 blend of navy and charcoal, with a lovely over check featuring pale duck egg blue, navy and black.
THE DESIGN Versatile, easy to wear and extremely stylish our tweed poncho features a flip over collar that is elegant and frames the face well, whilst allowing the tweed on the underside to show through. The poncho flows down the body to a triangular point, which is very flattering and slims and elongates the figure. Made of 2 layers of British tweed in 100% pure wool, this poncho is also surprisingly warm and will definitely keep out the chill.
EXCLUSIVITY Our focus is on quality and exclusivity. We only create a small number of designs every year and put all of our effort into getting them just right. We hand tailor our designs in tiny production runs, allowing our customers to acquire pieces that are of the finest quality and highly desirable.
Harris tweed is a unique cloth that has been dyed, spun and handwoven in the Outer Hebrides - a small chain of remote and rugged islands just off the western coast of Scotland. It is still handwoven by villagers in their own cottages on traditional manual handlooms, as it has been for hundreds of years.
Harris tweed is protected by a British Act of Parliament. Every 50 metres of cloth has to be certified by an official from the Harris Tweed Authority, to prove that is genuine Harris tweed - only then can it bear the official Orb symbol of the Harris Tweed Authority.
It has been the cloth of choice for well dressed British ladies and gentlemen for centuries and is favoured by British aristocrats, the British royal family, and more recently, top designers and retailers such as Paul Smith and Hugo Boss.
